Mallorca

During the winter break of 2019–2020, I traveled to Mallorca, Spain on a study abroad trip. This was my first time leaving the country. The aim of the course was to explore and document the island and its many different landscapes: natural, built, cultural, and living. These categories don’t have finite lines between them, and often overlap. Many of the images in this series have elements of all of these categories. In the series of work that came out of the trip, I have included both ordinary and fantastic sights: breathtaking vistas, the Mediterranean ocean, shots from towns and cities like Porreres and Palma, the aftermath of a New Year celebration, and so much more.

This was my first foray into travel photography.
